Removing the Curl from Your Paper
Your paper will normally be shipped rolled within or around a study cardboard tube to protect it during transit. If your paper curls when unpacked, this can
be corrected by reverse rolling.
Turn the entire stack of decorative paper over on top
of the protective craft paper and lay on a clean, flat surface so that the paper curves towards the craft paper at the ends. Place the cardboard tube used during shipping at one end of the craft paper and begin rolling the paper around the tube so the direction of the roll is opposite the curl of the paper.
Be sure to keep your paper flat and continue rolling until the entire stack is rolled around the tube. If there are several papers in the stack, let them slide gently
to adjust their length as they roll together to avoid creasing. Secure loosely with rubber bands and allow to rest over night. Once unrolled and laid flat, you may want to weight the corners for a few more hours if any
curl remains.
Cutting
Hand-held rotary cutters are great for cutting decorative papers. They slice through the thickest flower inclusion without tearing the edge and handle delicate tissues with ease. Use with a large self-sealing cutting mat and a cork backed metal ruler. The cork keeps your ruler from sliding and the printed grid on the mat will assist
in measuring and aligning your cuts.
